Russ Long
Principal / Owner
With more than 25 years of experience in the building industry, Russ’s passion for constructing exclusive custom homes and extensive, transformative remodels is evident in every DC Eugene project. From design to material selection to carpentry and construction, Russ has been hands on in nearly every aspect of the homebuilding process at one point or another in his career. His dedication to his craft is evidenced by the acknowledgment of his peers in the building industry, including winning the AIA People’s Choice Award, NARI Contractor of the Year and NARI Universal Design Awards. Russ’s work has also been featured in Eugene Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. Most importantly, he enjoys working with his clients to create beautiful, livable spaces that are tailored to their unique and individual needs while simultaneously bringing his client’s dreams to life.
A big believer in the motto “work hard, play hard”, when he’s not on the job, Russ enjoys time with his family and his friends. A foodie at heart, he’s always on the hunt for the latest and greatest culinary delight, which is usually balanced by a CrossFit workout at his favorite gym.
Yancy Martinez
Project Foreman / Business Partner
Working with DC Eugene for nearly twenty years, Yancy has a depth of construction knowledge rarely found anymore. With almost twenty years of finish carpentry experience and more than twenty five years in the trades, Yancy is always up for the challenge that working for an architecturally diverse construction company brings. Yancy exceeds expectations and takes pride in finding ways to do a task better and more efficiently than before. Most importantly, he takes great satisfaction when a collaborative build effort results in something truly special and, because of that, he is a positive force in everything we do.
A family man at heart, Yancy enjoys spending his time away from work with his family and friends, whether that’s in the Pacific Northwest of the sunny state of Florida. He’s also a passionate craftsman and truly enjoys honing his craft by constantly learning more about woodworking and the latest tools of the trade.
